What is Pilates?
Pilates is a fitness phenomenon that’s taking the wellness scene by storm.
A quick search on TikTok reveals hundreds of women raving about the workout, many of whom claim it helped them gain lean muscle within months.
It’s a low-impact exercise system designed to strengthen muscles, improve posture, and increase flexibility.
Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, this form of exercise focuses on strengthening the core while improving overall fitness and health.
Think of it as the perfect combination of strength training and stretching, a comprehensive workout all in one.
Here, Fabulous takes a look at some key items from Aldi’s new range…
Crane Pilates Ball Set – £5.99
This three-pack comes with a variety of pilates ball sizes to help you succeed in this increasingly popular form of exercise.
Pilates balls, also known as exercise balls or stability balls, are used to improve core strength, balance and flexibility by adding an element of instability to exercises.
Through a variety of low-impact, full-body movements, it helps to develop deep muscle groups, improve posture and increase overall muscle tone.
Crane Pilates Rotation Disc – £5.99
The Pilates Rotating Disc is a flat, circular platform that rotates, allowing for a smooth rotational motion.

An Aldi executive described it as “ideal for tightening”.

When is the best time to shop at Aldi?
If you want to shop at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.
Discounted items – store opening
Products with the red stickers are rare in Aldi’s 830 stores in the UK, but the supermarket says it doesn’t waste any food, so you might be able to find some if you hurry.
“On the dates of their best before or expiry dates, all products will be reduced in price by up to 50 per cent of their retail price,” a supermarket spokesman said.
This means that if you get to the store as soon as it opens, you’ll have the best chance of finding discounted foods.
Opening times vary by store, but most open from 7 or 8 a.m. You can use the supermarket’s online store locator tool to find opening times for your nearest store.
Special Buys – Thursday and Sunday
Special Buys are weekly collections that Aldi puts together of products that aren’t normally available for sale, from pizza ovens to power tools.
New stock arrives in store every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best special deals.
To further increase your chances of snagging the best items, time your visit to coincide with the opening times of your local stores.
However, you don’t have to go to the store to get your Specialbuy.
They are also available online, usually at midnight on Thursdays and Sundays, and can be pre-ordered up to a week in advance.
If you spend over £25 your items will be delivered free of charge.
Remember: once it’s sold out, it’s gone, so if there’s something you really want, come visit as soon as possible.
