RENO, Nev. (KOLO) — Reno Food & Drink Week 2024 has officially kicked off with a culinary extravaganza featuring chefs Jonathan Chapin and Darryl Butterfield of Reno Recipes and Executive Chef Shawn Munshaw of the Renaissance Hotel.
For today’s Morning Break, our chef will create the first course, Grilled Twin Peaks Spiced.
The kickoff event, held at the R/Lab Studio Kitchen, will feature craft cocktails made with locally produced spirits, tickets for house beer or wine, and a four-course entree. The menu, curated by Chef Muncho and Chefs Chapin and Butterfield of Reno Recipes, will include:
1. First Course: Grilled Twin Peaks Peaches
– Peach and almond mole, fermented peach labneh, pickled green strawberries, toasted almonds.
2. Second Course: Nevada Sunset Poached Honeycrisp Apple and Chicken Bites
– Brown butter lemon sauce, microgreens.
3. Third Course: Shrimp Skewers with Candied Bacon and Seafood Ponzu Sauce
– Mandarin peel and chives.
4. Fourth course: Buttermilk fried traditional breed pork
– White barbecue sauce, smoked salt, and green onions.
dessert:
– Brown sugar and citrus whipped cream, cherry sorbet, and walnut streusel.
