New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a meditation session. The historic site is situated in Kanyakumari, at the confluence of the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, and is therefore of symbolic significance. BJP Leaders highlighted the choice as a message of national unity.
PM Modi, who is seeking a third term, will arrive in Kanyakumari on Thursday evening and will return to Delhi after concluding his visit on June 1. The seven-phase marathon elections will conclude today (June 1) and the much-awaited results are expected to be declared on June 4.
In the Indian Lok Sabha elections, party leaders held lengthy rallies as the battle between the BJP-led NDA alliance and the opposition INDIA alliance intensified. The NDA side used “Prime Minister Modi’s guarantee” as its election selling point, while the opposition parties tried to counter the ruling party by accusing it of corruption, inflation, unemployment, and other issues.
