Chennai: The meditation event planned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, is politically motivated, not spiritually. Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) President K. Selvaperuntagay Said.
“PM Modi’s meditation drama is politically motivated”
“Those who accept and respect the teachings of Swami Vivekananda will not accept Narendra Modi’s decision to meditate. Narendra Modi’s meditation drama is seen as an attempt to denigrate Swami Vivekananda and tarnish Hinduism itself. PM Modi’s meditation drama is politically motivated and not spiritually motivated.” hair Selvaperuntagay.
“There can be no greater political shenanigans than Prime Minister Modi choosing to meditate on Vivekananda Rock to gain political advantage in 57 constituencies of the Indian Lok Sabha which are going to vote for the final time. This ‘meditation drama’ is an example of the dastardly lengths Narendra Modi will go to to gain power,” Selvaperuntagai said in a statement on PM Modi’s visit to Tamil Nadu.

TNCC seeks ban on PM Modi’s meditation plan
“Tourists will be barred from visiting the Vivekananda Rock for three days when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meditate alone at the Vivekananda Memorial. This ban is an act of depriving the fundamental rights of people,” the Indian National Congress leader said.
The Congress leader further stressed, “Today, we will file a petition on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Assembly and meet the Chief Election Officer of Tamil Nadu and the Director General of Police (DGP) to urge the Election Commission to ban Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meditation event in Kanyakumari.”
