The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), an autonomous body under the Union Ministry of Ayurveda, has launched “PRAGATI-2024” (Pharmaceutical Research in Ayurveda and Innovations), which provides highly lucrative opportunities for collaborative research in the field of Ayurveda. Today’s interactive conference was aimed at exploring research opportunities and fostering collaboration between CCRAS and the Ayurvedic pharmaceutical industry.
On this occasion, Secretary, Ministry of Ayurveda, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha highlighted the important role of the industry in the development of Ayurveda. He stressed that the industry has great potential to expand and develop the sector, noting that the influx of new practitioners and start-ups offers great opportunities for growth.
The main objectives are to leverage research findings and technologies developed by CCRAS, establish a strong network for collaboration in quality control, drug standardization, product development and validation, identify potential industrial partners having in-house R&D facilities, explore capacity building opportunities for researchers in drug manufacturing and product development, help Ayurvedic experts set up start-ups and incubation centres and promote entrepreneurship in Ayurvedic pharma.
