PM Modi is scheduled to visit Kanyakumari from May 30 to June 1. During his visit, he will pay obeisance at the rock memorial and meditate at Dhyan Mandapam, the same place where Swami Vivekananda once meditated. After the final phase of election campaigning, his visit to Kanyakumari this time is for a spiritual sojourn and has no political function. After finishing his election campaign, the PM often goes on spiritual journeys. In 2019, he visited Kedarnath and in 2014, he visited Shivaji’s Pratapagarh. The next and final phase (seventh phase) of voting is scheduled for June 1 in 57 constituencies in eight states/union territories. A Pune district court on Tuesday extended the police custody of the father and grandfather of the minor involved in the Porsche accident till May 31. Earlier, a Pune court on Saturday remanded the grandfather of the teenage boy involved in the Porsche accident case in police custody till May 28. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said the boy’s father and grandfather, who are already in judicial custody, offered cash and gifts to the family driver to make him take responsibility for the accident. They also threatened the driver. The boy’s grandfather and his father Vishal Agarwal, a real estate developer, have been booked under Sections 365 (kidnapping with intent to secretly and wrongfully confine person) and 368 (wrongfully concealing or confining) of the Indian Penal Code. In a recent interview with Mashable India, he said that he is told that such things are not suitable for an actor of his stature. He also revealed how his wife, former actor Shabana Raza, reacted to him haggling. When asked if he haggles while buying vegetables, Manoj said, “They scold me and say this is not suitable for me (‘Now they scold me and say this is not suitable for me’).
