UPPER WEST SIDE, New York — A modern wellness brand that already has two locations in New York City is now looking to open its newest branch on the Upper West Side.
Acupuncture studio and wellness brand WTHN is set to open later this year at 69 West 71st Street, taking over the space formerly occupied by Drybar, according to brokerage Brand Urban.
“The Upper West Side has become a key target market for luxury service brands in the health and wellness space,” said Brand Urban founder Taryn Brandes. “WTHN’s thoughtful expansion into the neighborhood will enable the brand to expand its customer base in Uptown Manhattan and serve a mature, dense and sophisticated residential clientele for the first time.”
At the new location, customers can enjoy the brand’s renowned holistic healing services, including personalized acupuncture, cupping and herbal treatments.
Complementing these offerings will be a standalone Wellness Shop, which will have a curated selection of branded products in store for easy browsing and purchase.
Initial rates start at $85, which includes a 15-minute health exam, and members receive one treatment per month, one guest pass per year, free cupping therapy, 15% off retail prices, and more.
“The team is excited to be located on a customer travel path connecting the shopping and fitness destinations of Central Park and Columbus Avenue,” Brandes said. “With a large gap in the market relative to the Upper East Side, this location offers a real opportunity to cater to an untapped market seeking a more upscale, convenient wellness experience.”
WTHN stands out as a pioneering omnichannel contemporary wellness brand deeply rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, offering unique, customized experiences to support individuals on their wellness journey.
Michelle Larive, a former investment banker and the visionary behind WTHN, founded the brand inspired by her own life-changing experience with Traditional Chinese Medicine, with the goal of empowering people to prioritize their health by providing easy solutions to relieve everyday stress and pain.
WTHN currently has locations in Flatiron and Williamsburg. For more information, visit www.wthn.com.
