New Delhi, May 27: The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), an autonomous body under the Union Ministry of Ayurveda, will host ‘Pharmaceutical Research on Ayurvedic Medicine and Technological Innovations (PRAGATI-2024)’ at the India Habitat Centre in the national capital on Tuesday.
PRAGATI-2024, an interactive conference, aims to focus on exploring research opportunities and fostering collaboration between CCRAS and the Ayurvedic pharmaceutical industry. The conference aims to unleash the full potential of Ayurvedic stakeholders in drug and device development by connecting researchers and industrial partners involved in manufacturing and innovation of Ayurvedic formulations.
PRAGATI-2024 will help “identify potential industrial partners willing to collaborate with CCRAS, exchange scientific knowledge and leverage research findings and products for Ayurvedic medicine development. This initiative will strengthen networking and inter-institutional collaboration, ultimately benefiting Ayurvedic clinicians and patients,” the ministry said.
A dossier detailing all 35 formulations and three devices, including Ayush 64, Ayush SG and Ayush Gutti, which are being developed or in the pipeline by CCRAS, will be presented to the participating industries for discussion and consideration, he added.
The event will be inaugurated by Rajesh Kotecha, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Pharmaceuticals and is expected to be attended by representatives from 35 pharmaceutical companies across the country, including CEOs of renowned companies like Himalaya, Emami, Baidanath, Dabur, IMPCL, Arya Vaidya Sara, Ushadhi and IMPCOPS.
