It’s Memorial Day weekend, which means barbecue season is in full swing. Actor and cookbook author Brian Baumgartner joins the TODAY Food team to share some of his favorite recipes for the occasion from his new book, “Seriously Good Barbecue Cookbook.” He shows us how to make baby back ribs, potato salad, and sweet grilled pineapple.

Tracy Antonovich
“Not everyone likes potato salad (funny, right?!), but everyone loves Loaded Baked Potatoes, so that’s why I came up with this recipe,” says Tracy Antonovich, who contributed the recipe to Baumgartner’s book. “A bowl of Loaded Potatoes has the best of both worlds, with bacon, cheddar cheese, and onions in a mouthwatering sour cream dressing. I wanted a potato salad that would go great with grilled or smoked meats at any get-together and be eaten in no time. This recipe always leaves the bowl empty, but it’s so good it deserves it!”

Sarah Lundberg
“I discovered this delicious barbecued pineapple recipe while pregnant with twins, which fulfilled one of my greatest cravings,” says Sarah Lundberg, who contributed the recipe to the book.
