A beauty guru has revealed how to reverse the signs of skin ageing without invasive treatments.
They confessed that when they noticed their skin losing its youthful look, they initially panicked.
They shared their advice on Reddit’s 30 Plus Skincare forum in response to a post by a woman worried about her “wrinkly” skin.
Going by the handle Wileyonpatrol, the Reddit user spoke openly about his desire to defy the signs of aging.
“I’ve been having the same panic attacks for the past few years,” they say.
“I’ve scoured this sub for advice and methodically tried everything from face yoga to massages.

“I’ll tell you, most of it is a waste of time and money.”
Reddit users pointed out four changes that they believe have visibly improved the look.
“1. Apply a good quality retinol cream at night, wait a few minutes and then apply castor oil,” they said.
“2. Drinking a liter of water at once can cause dehydration, so try to drink a glass of water every hour.”

“3. Do a full-fat yogurt mask for 20 minutes every other day (it’s amazing how much this has done for my skin).
“4. Adding exercise three times a week can improve blood flow to the skin, making it look plumper.”
The Reddit user offered “good luck” to anyone who tried his tips in replicating his results.
This post got such a positive response that I shared my product recommendation for yogurt face masks.
“I don’t use recipes, I just buy full-fat Nancy’s yogurt with probiotics,” they say.
“It doesn’t matter what brand you use; the natural lactic acid in the yogurt will do the trick.”
“It evens out skin tone, brightens skin, and tightens pores.”
“It also helps with acne and rosacea.
“I have never found a super cheap skincare product that worked better for me. I also really like the Skincuticals Ferulic Acid Serum, but I honestly haven’t seen any better results from it than I have with yogurt.”
Anti-Aging Tips and “Superstar” Products
Dr Anatalia Moore is a general practitioner and dermatologist with over 11 years of clinical experience.
She told the US Sun that her goal is to give patients the knowledge they need to take control of their skin conditions.
She said the basic fundamentals of a beauty routine remain the same at any age, including using an effective cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen.
“Moisturizers are my favorite over products that contain active ingredients,” she says.
“Finding a balancing moisturizer that provides proper hydration and replenishes and locks in natural oils will literally stabilize your skin.
“This in itself can provide immediate relief from fine lines and skin texture, which are often exacerbated by dehydration.”
“It also allows the skin to function as it should.
“This can result in faster healing, fewer wrinkles and fine lines, fewer dermatitis and rosacea flare-ups, and shorter-lasting, less severe breakouts.”

“Another treatment that has shown good results is a raw honey mask for 20 minutes.
“I like to alternate between yogurt and honey throughout the week. [because] It’s like my skin is just getting too used to things.
“I do a yogurt mask, take a day off, put honey on, take a day off, then yogurt.
“It’s better than a vitamin C/ferulic acid serum, but I don’t think it’s a replacement for a retinol cream.”
According to Medical News Today , retinol is a form of vitamin A that comes as a liquid, gel, cream, or emollient.
Retinoids up to 2% can be purchased over the counter, but stronger retinoids require a prescription.
Retinol has been shown to improve skin texture and stimulate collagen production.
However, it should be used with a sunscreen as it may increase skin sensitivity to the sun.
