Jalapeno sausage sandwich and spicy coleslaw
material
2 jalapeno sausages
2 tablespoons Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce
3 slices of jalapeno bacon
2 tablespoons brown sugar
McCormick Cinnamon 1 tspn
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons stone-ground mustard
1 cup classic coleslaw mix
1 teaspoon McCormick Smoked Paprika
4 brioche buns
Preparation:
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Combine mayonnaise and mustard in a medium bowl, then add the coleslaw and mix. Season with smoked paprika, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Refrigerate.
Place the bacon in a preheated 350° oven. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Return to oven for 3-4 minutes. Remove and place on paper towels. It’s okay if it’s a little crispy. Chop it when it’s cool.
Grill jalapeño sausages with Sweet Baby Rays until cooked through and the barbecue sauce caramelizes on top of the sausage. Cut in half lengthwise, then in half widthwise.
Toast the buns and place half the sausage in the bottom of the bun. Top with the coleslaw mix and sprinkle the candied bacon on top of the coleslaw.
This is the perfect sandwich for a Memorial Day party or weekend dinner. The variety of flavors and great textures make this a great sandwich. Serve it on the table with some fresh fruit to complement the incredible hot and sweet flavors. Enjoy Memorial Day with your family and friends. We should all be grateful to the brave men and women who gave their all for us and our freedom.
