We all experience difficulties and spiritual setbacks in life, but learning how to rise above these tempests is key to walking in spiritual authority.
In a recent message, Jenny Weaver offered a spiritual warning to those who feel stuck in their current situation. She says if you’re in a transition or know it’s time to step out into the plan God has for you, it’s very important not to get stuck in the old.
“I’m speaking to people who know God is calling them to something different,” Weaver says. “You’re stuck and you’re waiting for God to wake you up one day and ‘snap you out’… that’s arrogance.”
“In fact, a lot of it is fear-based thoughts, things, and clichés,” she continues. “Instead of wanting God to move us, we just don’t want to move them because we’re comfortable.”

Weaver says that regardless of war or circumstance, believers must continue to pursue the purpose and plan God has for them. Fear or attacks about moving in a certain direction does not mean God doesn’t want you to follow the path He has planned for your life. Rather, Christians are called to keep going and to keep pursuing Jesus, always with their eyes on Jesus.
“I invite all leaders, all pastors, all believers, those who have a firm belief in God and are serious about the things of God to join us. [You’re] “There will be wars. That’s normal,” Weaver said.
She also said the trials and tribulations we face cannot be used as an excuse to remain stagnant.
“We can’t use war, trials, hardships and change as an excuse to stop,” Weaver said.

Weaver also warns against staying stuck in grief: The only way to move forward with the Lord is to let go of past pain, no matter what sorrow you’ve experienced.
“Some of you are still thinking about what happened. Can you ever put an end to that?” Weaver asked.
This message to let go of the past may be painful, but it holds great truth. Isaiah 43:19 says, “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it will take place; will you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
God wants to give birth to the new through His people, but what He wants to do next requires that we first let go of the old.
