Toronto, Ontario–(Newsfile Corp. – May 23, 2024) – Happy Belly Food Group Inc. (CSE: HBFG) (OTCQB: VGANF) (“Happy Belly” or the “Company”), a leading emerging food consolidator. Company Brands is pleased to announce the expansion of its existing multi-unit franchise agreement for Heal Wellness (“Heal”), a fresh smoothie bowl, acai bowl and smoothie quick service restaurant.
We are excited to announce that our multi-store agreement, which was set to open five Heal Wellness stores in major cities across British Columbia, has now expanded to ten stores, with the first store opening in the coming weeks.
“We have received strong organic support from our current franchisees, many of whom are excited about becoming multi-unit owners. It is especially encouraging to see our existing multi-unit franchisees express interest in adding more stores. Today is a true demonstration of this enthusiasm. We are thrilled that an existing multi-unit franchisee in Heal in British Columbia has asked us to double their contracted store count from five to ten stores. This truly demonstrates our franchisees’ support for our brand and reflects Happy Belly’s commitment to serving and supporting our franchisees as part of the Happy Belly family,” said Sean Black, Chief Investment Officer at Happy Belly.
“The success of our franchise program (which we are currently witnessing) is reflected in the steady expansion of our brand across Canada and the high level of interest from both new and existing franchisees. This achievement is due to the strong support system, proven business model and strong brand reputation that Happy Belly offers. Franchise partners benefit from comprehensive training, ongoing mentorship and extensive resources to effectively run their business. The program consistently attracts investors eager to participate because it mitigates the risks typically associated with entrepreneurship while providing a clear path to profitability. Additionally, the enthusiasm of our current franchise partners to increase their ownership and commitment to the brand further underscores the effectiveness and appeal of the program. This combination of factors fuels the growth of our franchises and ensures sustained success and a vibrant franchise network.”
