CSA Animal Nutrition is pleased to announce that Dr. Alexis Hruby Weston has joined our team as a dairy nutritionist.
Dr. Weston will provide technical support to area feed manufacturers, dairy consultants and dairy producers. Her primary role will be to optimize nutritional programs while keeping economic benefits in mind. Charles Shininger, President of CSA Animal Nutrition, is excited to have Dr. Weston join our nutrition team. Her advanced education, expertise and innovative outlook are highly valued and will be a great asset to our team. CSA is committed to investing in and building a talented team of nutritionists with the knowledge and skills to provide value to our clients.
Alexis grew up in the Florida Panhandle and spent time on her grandparents’ ranch in South Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and worked on the Auburn Veterinary School Dairy Farm during her undergraduate years. She recently completed her Ph.D. She earned her degree under Dr. Mark Hannigan at Virginia Tech, where she focused on amino acids in dairy cows. Her published research focuses on interactions and synergies between amino acids in mammary gland absorption.
Alexis lives in Dayton, Ohio with her husband and will be working out of CSA’s Dayton, Ohio office. CSA believes that her education, skills, willingness to learn and ability to build relationships will be a great addition to the CSA team and clients.
