McFlurry’s secret recipe leaked; McDonald’s official praises it as “this is terrible”

The recipe for McDonald’s new limited-time Grandma McFlurry has been leaked online, and insiders say it’s delicious.

Ever since the fast food chain announced it on May 16, customers have been speculating online about what the new Grandma-inspired secret flavor will taste like.

Fans speculated about the secret flavor on social media, but the only hint was that it tasted “reminiscent of grandma’s favorite candy hidden in her purse.”

At the time, McDonald’s said customers who wanted to taste it for themselves “just have to try it.”

On the day of McDonald’s announcement, a Redditor claiming to be an employee revealed that the secret ingredient was butterscotch.

And this week, another Redditor claiming to be a McDonald’s employee posted a photo of a bottle of butterscotch syrup.

The top of the bottle has a label that says “Grandma McFlurry Syrup” and the bottom says “Butterscotch Flavor.”

In the post, one commenter wrote that the place where he works had just received a shipment of “butterscotch crumble,” which set off an alarm.

Following viral speculation, McDonald’s has finally confirmed that this new treat is indeed butterscotch flavored.

The treat is made with low-fat vanilla ice cream topped with butterscotch candy crumbles and warm butterscotch-flavored syrup, and is said to resemble the candy that was in your grandma’s pocket.

How does it taste?

Although the taste has been confirmed, it is still unclear what the dessert will taste like.

Fans are speculating whether the new flavor will be delicious or not, as officials emphasize how delicious it is.

“I know I shouldn’t say this,” one person wrote in the Reddit thread.

“But my colleagues opened a bottle and tried it for themselves, putting it in their iced coffee.”

“I have to say, it was a slap.”

Some customers were upset that their surprise was ruined.

“My back is too big to bear such a disappointment,” one customer posted on X (formerly Twitter), eager to get their hands on the new flavor.

Before these leaks, there wasn’t much information about new McFlurry flavors.

What we did know was that “the new McFlurry is as sweet as grandma,” according to a statement from McDonald’s.

However, details were minimal.

McDonald’s only revealed that the new flavor will be made with vanilla soft-serve ice cream and mixed with “delicious syrup” and candy.

But now that the new flavor has been officially released, McDonald’s has admitted to leaking McFlurry ingredients listed on its app.

“Grandmas have always held a special place in our hearts,” said Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s chief marketing and customer experience officer.

“Today, they’re having a big moment, influencing culture, influencing fashion, décor, and now, with the latest McFlurry, food trends,” he continued.

“Grandma McFlurry’s tastes like a trip down memory lane, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer that experience to our fans while honoring Grandma’s presence throughout our lives.”

Grandma McFlurry will be available for a limited time while supplies last.
