Erma was born and raised in Shelby, Mississippi. She attended Broad Street High School. Elma worked for companies such as Baxter Research Institute, St. Regis Paper Company, Hormel Foods, and Quaker Oats. Her friends and her family have always needed her help and her expertise in the areas of cooking and apparel design for special occasions. This led Elma to become an independent entrepreneur, offering catering and apparel design services. Erma and her husband Marvin Gray are happily married and reside in Dallas, Texas. She has three sons, Darrell Gray, Johnny Gray, and Cupid Gray, a daughter, Jacqueline Gray, and her grandson, Pedrick Gray, who inspired me to write this book. Masu.
