The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, has organized a series of events to mark the 30-day countdown to International Yoga Day 2024.
The theme of this event was “Yoga for Women’s Empowerment.”
Sister BK Shivani, who is known as a motivational speaker and was the guest of honor at the event, highly appreciated the role of AIIA in modern times in terms of systematically extending services related to Ayurveda and its related sciences to society. .
She argued that maintaining a peaceful mind through the practice of yoga should help individuals make informed decisions for the welfare of society.
“It’s soul strengthening. It’s important to make every soul powerful. We commonly talk about women’s empowerment as skill empowerment, physical empowerment, opportunity empowerment…Women are very important The role of a woman is to give birth to a child, and the mental state of the woman influences the mental state of the child,” said BK Shivani.
In her inaugural address, AIIA President Tanuja Nesari said that in accordance with the Ayurvedic way of life, this project is for the empowerment of women, the guidance and strengthening of the heart, mind and soul, the integration of themselves and the outside world. He appealed to everyone to celebrate Yoga Day.
She emphasized that Ayurveda and yoga are two sides of the same coin. From this perspective, she observed that Ayurveda is the physical aspect of yoga and yoga is the spiritual aspect of Ayurveda. She encouraged everyone to not only teach but also practice yoga and Ayurveda.
“Today, a motivational speech by spiritual guru BK Shivani was planned, and various events were also held. Every year, we perform yoga with Army and Navy personnel at high altitudes. Last year, we has organized a yoga event in Ladakh and this year we are planning to hold a yoga event on the India-China border.”
AIIA was established on October 17, 2017 to promote and advance the knowledge and practice of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine. Over the past six years, the institution has made great strides in the field and has become a center of Ayurvedic education and research not only in India but globally.
