The City of Kingsville is proudly adding a unique facility to its green space: a guided walking meditation trail on the Chrysler Canada Greenway. This innovative project is a collaboration between the town’s Communities in Bloom Committee, the Estate of Health Holistic Wellness Center and the Essex Regional Conservation Authority (ERCA). The project aims to help visitors practice mindfulness and develop a stronger connection with nature.
“We have placed three signs along the greenway by the Mettawas Station Restaurant,” said Karen Loney, Kingsville Manager of Programming and Special Events. “Visitors scan her QR code on the sign and are linked to his webpage, which features 10 short guided meditations created by Estate of Health. Click on the meditation of your choice and walk along the path. Please listen to the audio while
Mayor Dennis Rogers will officially open the meditation trail with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. “This is a great example of three community partners coming together with a vision. We are pleased to be able to offer this new experience to our residents and visitors,” he said.
Residents can attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony and hear more about the meditation trail at a “Get in Touch with Nature” event on May 26, 2024. Audio of the meditation trail can be viewed on his website in town at kingsville.ca/meditationtrail.
