The Sun Health Foundation’s Driving FORE Health & Wellness event was recently held at Topgolf in Glendale.
Individuals, families, friends and organizations have come together to support advances in cancer care and treatment at Banner Boswell Medical Center, according to a press release.
Supporters include Bret Broussard, a thoracic surgeon at Banner Health, who was diagnosed with cancer at age 17 and whose career inspired him to pursue a career as a surgeon treating cancer in others. He told his very personal story of how he became.
“For the past 60 years, we have been fortunate to have access to excellent cancer care right here in our own backyard, and now we have access to excellent cancer care right here in our own backyard,” said Nora Hanna, chief engagement officer at Sun Health. “The time has come to pay it forward.” “Your support of Sun Health Foundation today will ensure that tomorrow’s cancer patients receive the same great care.”
The event’s awards ceremony was sponsored by Banner Health, Morrison Living, and Orcutt | Winslow, Belmontez Construction, and UMB Bank received a special thank you from Sun Health President and CEO Joe La Rue.
“Our sponsors and friends here today are committed to helping members of our community live longer, healthier, and more purposefully, now and for a long time to come,” he said at the April event. “We truly understand Sun Health’s mission to help people live their lives.”
