GRAND RAPIDS, MI — The Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan will hold its 22nd annual Stomp Out Stigma 5K Walk for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention this weekend in Grand Rapids.
The walk will be held on Saturday, May 18th. We will meet at 8 a.m., rain or shine, and the walk will begin at 9 a.m.
The route begins at the GVSU Seward Parking Lot in Grand Rapids and follows the Grand Rapids Riverwalk route.
Registration for the walk is free, but participants can form teams to raise funds for the event. Only those who raise money will receive a walking T-shirt.
Currently, approximately $44,200 of the $75,000 goal has been raised.
All proceeds benefit the Foundation’s Be Kind. Help implement programs and raise mental health awareness throughout the community. This program helps educate students about mental illness and encourages them to break down stigma and support each other.
