Summer fruits are delicious when peeled and eaten as is, or in salads. Here are some fruit salad recipes you should try this summer.

Summer brings with it a variety of fruits that are not only delicious but also rich in nutrients essential for health. Incorporating these fruits into your daily diet will provide you with everything from improved hydration to a stronger immune system, improving your well-being. All we need to do is put a spotlight on summer fruits. The best way to do this is to make a fruit salad. Here are some summer fruit salad recipes to try.

Mango is probably one of the favorite summer fruits for many people. Mangoes, touted as the ‘king of fruits’, are known to boost immunity, improve digestive health due to their fiber content and promote eye health, according to nutritionist Manvi Lohia. Juicy fruits are a good source of carotenoids, a group of compounds known for giving yellow fruits their color. Foods containing carotenoids, such as mangoes, may help boost proper immune system function, according to research published in the journal Applied Sciences in 2021.

Watermelon is also an essential summer fruit as it contains a lot of water. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, 100 grams of watermelon contains 91.4 grams of water. It contains a lot of water, so it’s perfect for hydrating on hot summer days. It also contains lycopene, which supports heart health and protects the skin from UV rays, experts say.
