White Reaper and Spiritual Cramp have released a two-song 7-inch split, available now via Blue Grape Music and DSP. Both bands announced their breakup last month, with Spiritual Crump sharing “Whatever You Say Man” featuring White Reaper. Today, fans can hear White Reaper’s split side, “Shimmy” featuring Spiritual Clamp. White Reaper and Spiritual Crump will perform together for several shows to celebrate 7-inch, which starts June 17th in Boston. It will also land in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. The dates fall in the middle of Spiritual Cramp’s own headline tour.
White Reaper commented on the collaboration:
“’Shimmy’ is a song we all wrote very early in the pandemic, but for some reason we couldn’t crack the code of the lyrics or arrangement at the time. When we revisited the song a few years later, it seemed clear to us what we needed to add or subtract to get it to where we wanted it to be. There was this kind of fast-singing part in the verses that I felt really suited Mike’s voice, and he absolutely nailed it. ”
