A debate and awarding of prizes was held on the last day of National Nutrition Week at Bagmara in Rajshahi.
During the week, Mother and Child Food and Nutrition Program was held in Upazila through various programs organized by Institute of Public Health and Nutrition and implemented by Upazila Health Complex.
With an aim to promote nutrition awareness in educational institutions, prizes were awarded to the participants of a quiz competition held at the conference room of the Upazila Health Complex on Wednesday.
The discussion was presided over by Mr. Hasan Ali Mollah, District Health and Family Planning Officer, Mr. Muktadir Ahmed, District Secondary Education Officer, Mr. Khandkar Makhamam Mahmuda, District Women Officer, Mr. Sarek Uddin, District Officer for Youth Development, Secondary Education Officer Teachers Association President Asadul Islam, Bagmara Press Club President Afazal Hossain and journalists were present. Abu Bakkar Sujan and others gave lectures.
Speakers discussed the nutritional needs and contributions of mothers and babies to maintaining health, strength and vitality.
After the discussion, District Health and Family Planning Officer Hasan Ali Molla handed out prizes to the quiz participants. Upazila sanitary inspector Ashraful Islam Pintu led the program.
