a A new sports hypnosis program is changing the game as innovative technology helps individuals improve their performance and break down mental health barriers at the same time.

Dr. Christina Robb, founder/owner of Robb Acupuncture and Wellness, located at 11022 S. 51st St. in Ahwatukee, is specifically designed to help athletes of all disciplines reach their full potential through mental conditioning. I created a program.

Rob is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a certified hypnotherapist specializing in stress and anxiety management.

Her programs focus on a mind-based approach, using innovative techniques from hypnosis and traditional Chinese medicine to help athletes achieve a clear and positive state of mind. she said.

“We don’t put too much emphasis on the mental side of the sport,” Rob says. “And this was very helpful to me.”

Rob, a former competitive archer, has used hypnosis in his personal experience. This inspired her to create a program aimed at strengthening her athlete’s mental health while improving her physical performance at the same time.

She said the program can lead to peak performance and better habits, and can be life-changing.

Despite doubts in some parts of society about its benefits, Robb said hypnosis has a lasting impact.

“There’s a misconception that hypnosis is like mind control, but that’s not the case,” Rob says. “For it to work, you have to want change.”

Robb says the stereotype of hypnosis is far from the false narrative that many people portray.

“It’s a natural event that we experience every day,” she said. “It is where the individual meets the subconscious mind.

“Hypnosis puts you in a state of mind where you are open to positive suggestions to change your life,” she added.

Robb says hypnotherapy has a variety of benefits, including promoting relaxation and weight loss, and can also alleviate drug addiction and increase self-awareness.

In his practice, Rob combines Chinese medicine, acupuncture and hypnosis to create a unique approach to supporting athletes.

“Hypnosis and acupuncture work very well together,” she said. “It embodies aspects of the whole body.”

Instead of focusing on one part of the body like Western medicine, Chinese medicine focuses on the whole body, she said. Comprehensive medical care.

“Our minds and bodies are one thing, one machine,” Robb said.

Acupuncture uses needles to bring the body into balance by relaxing muscles, and is an effective treatment for anxiety, depression, pain, and even hormonal imbalances, she adds. Ta.

Rob uses hypnosis to try to bring his patients into a calm state of mind.

When used together, she said, the mind and body align and connect as one.

Similar in some ways to traditional therapy, such as talking through your emotions, Robb says hypnotherapy can help people dive deeper into the root of their problems.

Describing it as a “conversation with the subconscious mind,” Robb said hypnotherapy offers a way to directly address problems.

After an initial consultation, Rob develops a plan according to the patient’s goals and customizes the plan to fit the patient’s individual needs. Items such as strengthening the ego, building confidence, or simply letting go of negative energy are key elements of her sessions.

Rob is a premium program that helps individuals change the way they respond to situations. She draws from personal experience and deep-seated inner thoughts to help patients overcome mental obstacles.

The impact goes beyond just reaching a clear conscience.

“There’s a huge stigma around getting mental health, but I think that’s changing in a big way,” Robb said. “Sometimes it’s looked down upon, especially in sports.”

Rob is optimistic about the future of hypnotherapy for athletes.

“It’s so exciting to see the excitement when someone reaches a destination or an athlete begins to achieve a goal,” she said.

She encourages people to “take the plunge” and seek treatment if they have mental health issues.

“There’s no shame in it,” she said. “There are tools out there.”
