One cancer patient said hypnosis helped him mentally overcome his illness by imagining chemotherapy killing cancer cells. Faye Roberts, 46, discovered a lump under his right breast while taking a shower in March 2023.

The next week, she went to the doctor and had an ultrasound and biopsy. That same day, Faye received the devastating news that she had stage 3 breast cancer, which had spread to her breasts.

She immediately began five months of chemotherapy and underwent a lumpectomy (surgery to remove cancer or other abnormal tissue from the breast) in November 2023. In December 2023, it was discovered that the cancer had spread to her axillary lymph nodes, and Faye had to undergo another surgery. nodes – so she deleted them.

In February 2024, after 20 radiation treatments, Faye rang the bell and was declared cancer-free. Ms Faye said that throughout her diagnosis and treatment, she used hypnotherapy (recording scripts that put her into a hypnotic state) to get her through, and she said her mental health had greatly improved. Ta.

Fay, a hypnotherapist from Southend, Essex, said: “I fell into a really dark place when I was diagnosed. I was at stage three and it was very shocking and upsetting for me.” Ta.

“I started doing hypnosis on myself. I visualized the chemotherapy taking effect and killing the cancer and wrote a script and listened to it back. That really helped me get out of a dark place. I was scared to go to chemotherapy, so I wrote a script to help me with that.”I myself visualize chemotherapy and how it helped me. ”

After Faye found the lump, she immediately went to the doctor and underwent an ultrasound and biopsy.

“A nurse held my hand while I was being scanned and I could see tears in her eyes. From that moment I knew this wasn’t good. When the doctor told me I had cancer, I was shocked. I went alone and couldn’t stop crying.”

Faye then underwent five months of chemotherapy starting in April 2023. She says hypnosis helped her get through the treatment, as she was able to “visualize the effects” by watching her chemotherapy attack cancer cells.

“I was very worried about chemotherapy because I didn’t know how I would react. I was scared of chemotherapy, so I tried to change my way of thinking. I wrote the script.”

“I think it worked because I could feel the effect. The lump didn’t seem to be getting any smaller, but I kept a positive attitude. I could feel the lump getting smaller. That was until I finished my last chemotherapy treatment.

Faye then underwent surgery to remove the tumor in November 2023. A few months after the surgery, it was discovered that her cancer had spread to her axillary lymph nodes and had to be removed in December 2023.

She said, “The pain after the surgery was very painful. I used hypnotherapy to get my mindset in order. It really helped me feel like I was in control of my recovery.”

Speaking about the end of treatment, she said: “It was a really emotional moment. It brought tears to my eyes. It’s been a year of treatment, and it’s great to tell the kids that they’ve been struggling throughout this time.”

“I want people to know that there is something that can help them. Hypnosis really helped me. I was in a very dark place after going through all this. It really helped me diagnose and get out of a difficult situation.
