WARSAW, IL — More than 150 attendees attended the Warsaw Wellness Expo on Saturday, April 20th. Memorial Hospital and the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce partnered to host the event at the Bott Community Center. The expo offered a variety of screenings, demonstrations, and activities for all ages and interests.
“The Warsaw Wellness Expo was more than just an event. It was a celebration of health, community and collaboration,” Ashlyn Housewright, Memorial Hospital’s executive director of community health and human services, said in a press release. “Attendees came together to learn, connect, and support each other on their health journeys.”
Throughout the morning, participants enjoyed refreshments and learned about medical services. The Warsaw Chamber of Commerce and Industry introduced local businesses and tourist attractions. Participants had a chance to win an iPad, gift cards, Memorial MedSpa products, and Skin Essence moisturizer.
Children were particularly excited at the Kids Expo where they took part in demonstrations and activities, visited a teddy bear clinic, enjoyed face painting and bounced around in an inflatable house.
“The event was a great success,” said Cassandra Grünewald, president of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce and Industry and owner of Repeat Candle and Coffee Bar. “Anything that celebrates our community together is important, but especially when we focus on health. It is imperative that citizens understand the resources available to them here in Hancock County.”
One of the highlights of the Expo was the opportunity for community members to provide feedback on health services through a community survey. Memorial Hospital is inviting Warsaw and Hancock County residents to complete the survey using the link below.
