The Pilates method was first developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s for rehabilitation purposes. His modern method focuses on strengthening and toning muscles while improving posture and flexibility with an emphasis on the core. His six main principles of his Pilates method are control, concentration, centering, flow, precision, and breathing.

If you’re looking for a low-impact workout in Westchester that promotes mobility, balance, and body awareness, Pilates may be right for you. Also, age is just a number in a Pilates studio.
