Students learned about the science and psychology behind stress and trauma, providing insight into understanding the complex interactions between the mind and body. The expert sisters shared information about female hormones, work balance, sleep patterns, vitamin deficiencies, and healthy eating habits.
April is National Mental Health Month, and it’s the perfect time to review the warning signs of mental stressors that affect your entire body. It can be a particularly emotional time for teenagers as they begin college and deal with social stressors. Doctors encouraged “talk therapy,” which provides a safe space to discuss feelings and the root causes of the stress and anxiety someone is experiencing.
The gathering ended with several student questions and applause for the presentation regarding the educational requirements for entering the field of psychology.
