(Colorado Springs) – May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the Stay Foundation (formerly Bryson’s Chase) will be holding an event on Saturday, May 11th to raise money for people in need of mental health support in southern Colorado. Host a concert.
On Thursday, May 9, STAY founder Lindsey Thompson and the organization’s president Angie Glenmore joined FOX21 News to talk about its mission and upcoming events.
Ms Thompson initially founded Bryson’s Chase after struggling to find mental health support for herself and her son. “It started with just wanting to raise a few dollars for mental health care,” Thompson said. “Our company has grown by leaps and bounds because the need is so great. So Bryson’s Chase was a story with my kids, and now we’re a story with everyone.”
STAY stands for “Stronger Together Advocating for You,” and Thompson said the message is simple: “Stay.” “We just want people to stay in this profession, to be health care providers. Parents, keep fighting. And kids, stay here,” Thompson said.

“We really want to be a resource that people can turn to when they don’t know where else to turn, when they can’t afford it, when they don’t think they can afford therapy for their children. “We just want you to know that we are here and that we work with a great list of referral providers who are willing to step in and really care about the community. ” Glenmore said.
Saturday’s concert is raising money to help fund this effort, and will feature performances by Nine Inch Nails tribute band NAILS, Deftones tribute band My Own Summer, and local bands. Skin and Bones will be performing.
Tickets can be purchased online in advance or on the day. This is an all-ages show and tickets cost $20. STAY is also auctioning electric guitars.Doors open at 6 p.m.
