DUBUQUE, Iowa — Learn the latest information on dairy nutrition and management by attending the 2024 Four-State Dairy Nutrition and Management Conference June 5-6 at the Grand River Center in Dubuque.
Conference themes include feeding and managing cows for high productivity and health, feeding to reach higher peaks, and feeding to prevent mineral-related diseases during early lactation.
Other general sessions included the optimal ratio of corn silage to alfalfa in dairy rations, feeding strategies to reduce milk’s carbon footprint, and how different physical and chemical properties of feed affect ration performance. Topics include:
Various breakout topics will also be presented, with master’s and doctoral students from the four partner universities giving poster presentations and three-minute presentations on research they have completed. A symposium is also planned before and after the conference.
The event will also include a trade show with more than 40 companies showcasing their latest products, an evening reception, and networking time. CEU credits available.
