JigazooThe world’s largest children’s social network and market leader in secure social media launches Social Media Wellness Month. Coinciding with National Mental Health Awareness Month in May, the initiative challenges mainstream social media companies to “do better” and educates children, children, and others on how to build for a healthier social media future. The purpose is to educate parents and legislators. Known for its approach to safety and privacy, Zigazoo’s app has been hailed by Common Sense Media as an “example of how to provide a social yet safe online location.” Social Media Wellness Month will feature a variety of activities, including content created by Zigazoo’s Gen Alpha superstars, conversations with experts, toolkits for families, and more.

As outlined in the Surgeon General’s recent social media advisory, nearly half of teens report decreased body confidence and nearly two-thirds have been exposed to hate-based content online. It is reported that it has been done. Zigazoo continues to build on its mission to “provide a safe and positive community for youth” as it addresses the crisis of mainstream social media apps like TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram refusing to make modifications in their apps To help, we’re launching Social Media Wellness Month. Find joy, build healthy online relationships, and reach your full potential as tomorrow’s digital citizen. ”

Zak Ringelstein, Zigazoo CEOvisited Capitol Hill on Monday to help develop better protocols to protect children from the dangers of social media, and said, “Mainstream social media companies like TikTok, Snap, and Meta… They know exactly what they’re doing and they don’t even know it.” Pretend to care about the health and well-being of your users, especially children. It’s disgusting. ”

Experts featured in Social Media Wellness Month, Laura Tierney, Founder of the Social Institutee, a leader in helping K-12 schools equip students with important life skills to be active on social media, says, “Instead of scaring kids or limiting them, , we should empower and equip our children to navigate social media and technology in ways that energize them.” We wish them health, happiness and future success. ”

Earlier this month, Zigazoo conducted a survey among its child users asking for their opinions on the issue. Notably, 43% of Zigazoo users said they had already been bullied online, and more than 50% cited TikTok as a social media app they “should stay away from” It was by far the most popular among media apps.

Here are the core values that Zigazoo promotes throughout the month:

● Authenticated users only: Ensures security and parental consent, and ensures peer-to-peer only interaction. No adults, no bots, no deepfakes.

● Positive interactions only: Use research-based product design that fosters only positive, trust-building experiences for all users. We do not encourage or allow bullying or negativity.

● Content moderation: Protect children from harmful content and negative sentiment. Human moderation, not censorship, adjusts for developmental appropriateness while maintaining diverse perspectives.

● Ethical algorithms: Like physical communities, content algorithms prey on our worst instincts and are not designed to participate at all costs, making celebrities the most destructive figures in society. We guarantee that our hard-earned reputation is built on.

● Balanced screen time: Set digital boundaries to encourage off-screen activities such as physical activity, real-life social experiences, and breaks.
