New health and wellness center opening

Restore Hyper Wellness, a national chain of wellness centers, is opening a new location in Bellingham, offering proactive health and wellness therapies, according to an email from the business.

The wellness center is planned to open by the start of 2025, according to the email, and will offer services such as red-light therapy, cryo therapy, an infrared sauna, IV therapies, hydra facials and a weight management program.

The new center will be at 2411 James St., across the street from Trader Joe’s.

The Portal opens for the season

The Portal Container Village has opened for its 2024 season, including a new restaurant, wine bar, and pop-up shops. The popular summer spot also features the “raddest beer garden in the Pacific Northwest,” Kulshan Trackside.

The Portal’s opening day was Friday, May 3. It is located at 296 W Laurel St. in Bellingham.

Rustler’s Front Street Grill expands

Rustler’s Front Street Grill, a popular American food restaurant in downtown Lynden, is adding onto its restaurant, just in time for summer.

The restaurant is currently under construction, adding a covered outdoor patio and more seating.

Rustler’s is still open during construction and construction updates are posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

Rustler’s Front Street Grill and bar is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 405 Front St. in Lynden.
