A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between two prominent institutions of the country, Patanjali Research Foundation and SRM Clinical Trials Research Center, Chennai.
Hailed as a milestone in the history of Ayurveda, the agreement paves the way for joint clinical trial research on Ayurvedic medicines.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Acharya Balkrishna of Patanjali Yogpeeth said that the MoU marks an important milestone in the history of Ayurveda and will play an important role in the revival of Ayurveda.
He emphasized that this joint effort will bring evidence-based Ayurvedic medicine to the world stage through clinical trials based on India’s traditional knowledge.
He said that the two leading institutions of India will demonstrate the effectiveness of Ayurvedic medicine to the world.
Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar, Research Director, SRM CCTR, expressed enthusiasm that this agreement will play an important role in establishing Ayurveda, India’s traditional medicine, at a global level.
The MoU signing ceremony was also attended by clinical research experts Dr. VK Gupta and Dr. Anurag Shrivastav.
I sincerely hope for the cooperation of both institutions. Dr. Anurag Varshney, Director, Patanjali Research Foundation, said that through this agreement, both institutions will present the effectiveness of Ayurvedic medicine to the world in an evidence-based manner.
