PINE HILL, N.Y. — State Sen. Michelle Hinchey (D-Saugerties), in collaboration with the Ulster County Department of Aging and the Greene County Department of Aging, will host the Golden Wellness Center on Friday, May 10th from 1 to 4 p.m. Host a fair. pmpm at Pine Hill Community Center in Shandaken.
The Wellness Fair will offer a wide range of services for seniors, including medical exams, notary services, personalized technical support for phones, tablets and laptops, and financial, nutritional and housing guidance, according to a statement from Hinchey’s office. The service will be provided free of charge. Experts, physical fitness exercises, resources advising participants on how to avoid identity theft and fraud, resources for veterans, and dogs for adoption from the Ulster SPCA.
“Where you live should not determine your access to services. We want all older people, especially those living in rural areas with limited support, to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives. We have a responsibility to make sure we have what we need to send ‘alive,”’ Hinchey said in a statement.
