GRAND RAPIDS, MI (ABC 4) – “Lights. Cameras. Take action to improve your mental health!”
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Celebration Cinema is joining a national movement to raise awareness, eradicate stigma and provide support to individuals and families in our communities through a special fundraiser.
“As a company, we believe we play a small role in bringing people together for a little love and connection, and that impacts your mental health. That’s what our company does. That’s one of the things we’re focused on,” said Emily Rooks of Celebration. cinema.
During the month of May, 50 cents from every large popcorn sold will directly support local mental health resources and organizations like Wedgwood Christian Services.

“We are very excited to partner with Celebration Cinema to raise awareness in conjunction with Mental Health Month,” said Brina Thiemeyer of Wedgwood Christian Services. She said: “We want them to know that no matter where they are in life, we are here at Wedgwood helping them and walking beside them.”
Since 1960, Wedgwood has been committed to “boldly addressing West Michigan’s most challenging mental and behavioral health challenges” through behavioral and mental health resources and substance use/recovery programs.Learn more about these services here.
