Can chatbots teach you healthy habits? Let’s take a look.

The never-ending cycle of wellness trends seems to promise instant solutions to all of life’s troubles. The amount of conflicting self-care and wellness tips floating around on social media can be confusing, but I’m on a journey to incorporate healthy habits throughout her day. So how do you get started?

As artificial intelligence rises and permeates our daily lives, it seems like a natural next step for health. I’m skeptical that chatbots know the secret to a happy and healthy life, but I’m eager to give it a try. There are various AI tools emerging that generate mental health and wellness, but I prefer ChatGPT’s free because of its accessibility and popularity (approximately 100 million users use his ChatGPT every week). Selecting version.

I opened ChatGPT and asked for basic information about myself and what I was looking for. So what habits and activities does a generative AI recommend for young people who work remotely from 9 to 5?

The chatbot spit out habits broken down by time: morning, work hours, evening, night, as well as daily challenges to add variety to my day. We hope that practicing wellness on a regular basis will improve your mental health.

“There’s a mind-body connection, so physical health and wellness can also benefit your mental health,” says California-based therapist Suzanne Green. AI can provide “a wealth of knowledge for health and wellness,” she says.

Monday

What ChatGPT says, so do I. The first thing in your morning routine is to drink a glass of water. end! Next up is a 10-minute morning mindfulness practice. I’m not usually a big fan of meditation, but I’m all for the Headspace videos. All that’s left before work is a nutritious breakfast with whole grains, fruit, and protein. This isn’t too far from my usual routine, so I whip up a quick oatmeal bowl with chocolate fudge protein powder and blueberries to start my day off right.

Throughout the day, I am instructed to stretch and do some light exercise, keep a water bottle at my desk, and eat lunch mindfully (no TikTok this time).

I jog by the water to exercise after work. According to ChatGPT, this “increases endorphins and reduces stress.” It also says to make a healthy dinner, so instead of eating leftovers from the same Chinese takeout you had for lunch, you oblige. This is perfect for your Monday cooking challenge. After poring over my beloved Pinterest, I settled on a black bean and tofu burrito bowl.

As evening melts into night, I begin my digital detox and wind-down routine. Goodbye screens, hello relaxing. While I write in my diary, I want to hear some background noise, so I put on a Spotify playlist. My final health challenge is to reflect on three things about her that I am grateful for. Today I’m talking about two adorable cats I adopted last week, sunny weather, and new music from my favorite band. good night!

Tuesday

Another cheerful day awaits. Today, while I was meditating, my cat got infected with zoomies. I have no choice. I stay hydrated, eat nutritious food, and stay active throughout the day. Since it was raining, I attended a Pilates workout in the comfort of my apartment.

Tuesday’s challenge is about creative expression and encourages me to let my imagination run wild. I do bullet journaling and decorate my habit tracker with delicate handwritten lettering and a few too many stickers. It’s great to have your own stress-free hobby. I am grateful for the support I have for a craft that sometimes fails.

I promised to avoid screen time in the evening, but before that I’ll check out what’s new Grey’s Anatomy episode. But don’t worry. I give up blue light to drink peppermint tea and read murder mysteries. While the cats start fighting, I make a list of things I’m grateful for and get some sleep.

Wednesday

I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect or not, but I feel like I’m a little more rested. Even though he continued his healthy habits for two days, my body and mindset probably didn’t change much, but I feel like I’m a little more grounded in my life.

Today’s challenge is to connect with nature, so I’m going to take a long nature walk. I am grateful for a cloudless day. I enjoyed writing in my gratitude journal, so I’m looking forward to continuing it even after this week is over.

Thursday

I feel like I’m going to get sick, I don’t want to exercise, I don’t want to cook. Morning mindfulness and evening gratitude checks remind you that you can face the day on a positive note, even if you’re not feeling your best. I took a complete break from training to give my body a rest, but I started taking better care of myself by prioritizing hydration, nutrition, and gentle movement.

Even though I felt tired, I completed today’s assignment, the study time. Naturally, this means documentaries. Learn a lot about true crime before you put your screen aside for the night. I need rest.

Friday

Last day! I’m sure my body is thanking me for downing more Brita water bottles than usual, getting more steps on my FitBit, and carefully planned meals. Fridays call for a self-care ritual, so I wind down with a Dunkin Donuts coffee-scented candle and a cleansing clay mask while my favorite podcast plays in the background. As ChatGPT says, this snack is a great way to wind down from her week.

These habits aren’t all that different from my normal life, but the ChatGPT routine gives me a sense of consistency and gives me confidence.

final thoughts

It’s refreshing to practice healthy habits, but trying to stay hydrated in the morning or aim for a better night’s sleep doesn’t seem innovative.

Only time will tell what happens next in the world of generative AI. “AI will definitely become a part of wellness, providing resources to patients and users, and analyzing the information given to match individuals with their needs,” Green says. It is not a substitute for mental health care (i.e., therapy) provided by a psychotherapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist. ”

It’s hard for something so programmed to become personal. Algorithms won’t magically make me the best version of myself, but it has inspired me to try something new.
