CENTER COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Skills of Central Pennsylvania kicks off its 18th annual Mental Health Awareness Month celebration on Thursday.,May 2.
This event will be held at the Wasson Farm Event Barn located at 2545 Shingletown Rd., It begins at 5 p.m. and includes live music, free food, activities, vendors and door prizes. Admission to the event is free.
musician Eric Ian Farmer The celebration begins when the doors open at 5 p.m., followed by free ice cream for all attendees. The formal program begins at 5:30 p.m., with speakers sharing stories of inspiration, success, hope, and recovery. Following the speakers, the music and vendor fair will resume.
The celebration has been held for 17 years, but this year’s event is even bigger. Health and human services providers and other organizations key to Center County’s mental health are currently actively participating in this event.
