ISLAMABAD, April 24 (APP): A book on ‘Physics and Cosmology’ written by former CSP official Sardar Irshad Shaheen was launched at Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) here on Wednesday.
The book, which talks about the creation of the universe in the light of science and philosophical spirituality, was published in the United States, according to a news release.
CSP Sardar Shaheen works at Inland Revenue FBR and has also been appointed Federal Tax Mohtasib Adviser. He claims to have been interested in writing about nature, the universe, and life since his student days.
The launch of the book was attended by prominent figures from the federal capital, including senior parliamentarian Farhatullah Babar and former Inspector General of Police and chairman of the One-Man Committee on Minority Rights Dr Shoaib Sadr.
This book is a thoroughly researched work, citing over 800 references, and details the emergence of the universe, scientific concepts, and the ideas and beliefs of various religions.
However, the author wrote this book not solely on religious premises, but on scientific views about the creation and maintenance of the universe and the unified concept of omnipotence.
This is why the book frequently quotes the Holy Quran in relation to thought processes rather than as religious motivation. It refers to Sufism and the teachings of the saints and brings rationality to light in the spotlight of science and practical theory. It never referred to religion as a word or concept, but stuck to spirituality itself.
The mystical trend in the West evaluates it from the perspective of quantum theory and draws parallels between the East and the West based on scientific theory, he said. In his Miratul Arifin, he quoted exclusively the sermons of Imam Hussein ibn Ali, which establishes the origin of the universe and the existence of the Almighty.
He also referred to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who spoke of the presence of God in Hadith-e-Qudsi, saying, “God has been there since time immemorial, and God has been there since time immemorial, and He has made Himself known for His manifestation. I informed them…” he said.
This book explores the interrelationship between modern physics and mystical cosmology. It explores the writings of such notable figures as the German philosopher Hegel and the Islamic mystical philosopher Ibn al-Arabi, highlighting their profound insights into the nature of existence and the universe.
The introductory chapter provides a chronological overview of important scientific theories such as the Big Bang theory, the expansion of the universe, and the formation of galaxies, as well as exploring Sufi perspectives on creation and the relationship between humanity and the universe.
This text aims to bridge the gap between science, philosophy, and spirituality, offering a thought-provoking exploration of the fundamental questions surrounding human existence and the universe.
This book sets the stage for a deeper exploration of the complex relationship between science and spirituality at a deeper level through the integration of diverse disciplines and perspectives.
