A skincare expert who keeps saying she looks 15 years younger has revealed what cheap supermarket purchases are keeping her wrinkles at bay.
Star Kechara refuses to pay for expensive moisturizers and serums and has never had Botox or fillers.
However, her skin remains healthy and glowing even at 48 years old.
Revealing the secret to her limited skincare routine, she said, “I’m a former skincare formular, so I’ve always made my own skincare since I was a teenager.
“I keep it very basic: I cleanse and oil. That’s really all I need.
“It’s very low cost to make it yourself. You can make one or two years’ worth at a time.”
And the star, who is the author of a holistic beauty book, claims that skin health is “90 percent determined by what you eat and 10 percent determined by what you do.”
So instead of wasting money on expensive skin care products that contain ingredients like fruit, she goes straight to the source.
She revealed: “If you look at a lot of modern skin care products that claim to have a lot of bioactive ingredients, you’ll find that they’re often made from fruit. They’re all fruit extracts.
“So, which do you think is more effective: 5g of a skin care product containing 1% mango or papaya, or eating the whole 150g of that papaya?”
“People will say they’re willing to pay £30 for a skincare product with papaya extract in it when they won’t spend £2 for a papaya. That’s insane to me.
“I look at how much other people spend on skin care products, look at the labels, and find it completely useless. I’m appalled.
“People are paying £30 for a moisturizer that’s 90 per cent water, so why not drink water?”
The star is so passionate about anti-aging food hacks that she created the Facelift Diet to help others.
“The facelift diet is basically a fruit-based, plant-based anti-aging diet,” says the entrepreneur behind Skin Nutrition Institute.
“It’s about eating lots of anti-aging foods. It’s not about restricting or counting calories.
“Certain foods have rejuvenating properties, and your diet can slow down aging.”
And highlighting just how much fruit can help, Starr added: “It’s all about fruit. If you take anything away from that, eat more fruit.”
“All fruits, especially the colorful and juicy ones. Mangoes, pineapples, oranges, they are the fountain of youth.
“Think of it this way: You want to be a juicy, colorful grape, not a brown, wrinkled raisin.”
We’ve talked before about how the star’s skin looks so youthful that people often mistake her for someone 10 years younger.
She said, “I always looked very good because I always took care of my health and nutrition and also made my own skin care.
“People often think I’m in my early to mid-30s, but I feel even more vibrant and youthful than I did then.”
