Elevate Black Wellness, a groundbreaking organization dedicated to uplifting and empowering Washington state’s Black community, announces the huge success of its inaugural Black Wellness Week, held April 15-19 I’m proud to be able to do this. In addition to the governor’s proclamation, Black Wellness Week was celebrated with: Declarations issued by the cities of Bremerton, Des Moines, Everett, Federal Way, Lakewood, Olympia, University Place, Tukwila, Tacoma, and King and Snohomish counties.. Organizations across Washington state hosted events to commemorate Black Wellness Week and demonstrate the power of community collaboration to advance health equity.
