St Mary’s University Twickenham (SMU) Level 6 Nutrition and Sport and Exercise Dietetics students have launched a free nutrition clinic aimed at providing professional and personalized support.
The nutrition clinic will be held every Thursday from 9am to 12pm in room R19 on the SMU campus.
The students leading the clinic will be supervised by SMU nutrition lecturers Laura Ercolani and Dr. Leta Pilic. Both Laura and Leta have extensive experience working with clients individually.
Services provided at the nutrition clinic include nutrition counseling and consultation, dietary assessment, and access to nutrition resources. All services are free.
Nutrition clinics offer individuals the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a nutritionist to discuss their dietary needs, health goals, and challenges. Participants will receive a comprehensive assessment of their current diet, along with actionable feedback to improve their nutritional intake. The team then develops a realistic and sustainable eating plan alongside your other health goals.
Laura and Rita describe the purpose of the clinic as follows: “At St. Mary’s Nutrition Clinic, we believe that nutrition is the foundation of health and academic success. Our mission is to provide free, expert nutrition advice tailored to St. Mary’s diverse community. By empowering students and staff, whether you’re dealing with the challenge of maintaining a balanced diet or looking to improve your overall health, No matter what you’re interested in, our team is here to help.
