Air fryers have become a staple in many kitchens and are now easier than ever to use for quick and hassle-free meals.
This device is a low energy and often fast alternative to the use of traditional ovens.
Nathan Anthony, the Northern Irish chef who rose to fame sharing airfryer and slow cooker recipes on his social media platform Bored Of Lunch, which has four million followers, has published a new book. Healthy Air Fryer: 30 Minute Meals.
Here are three of his new recipes.
crispy fried chicken
service:6
Preparation time: 10 minutes | cooking time: 20 min
material:
1.2kg chicken Drumsticks and thighs, skin on
200ml buttermilk or 4 beaten eggs
120g soft flour
Corn flour 120g
2 tablespoons paprika
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 tablespoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon garlic granules
1 and 1/2 tablespoons white pepper
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Olive oil spray (not low calorie)
Method:
1. Coat chicken with buttermilk or beaten egg.
2. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl and toss the chicken first into this mixture, then back into the buttermilk or beaten egg, then coat again with the dry mixture.
3. Add vegetable oil to the air fryer and preheat at 200℃ for 2 minutes.
4. This next step is very important. Coat chicken well with olive oil spray. The flour should look mostly yellow from the spray. Air fry at 200°C for 20 minutes, turning halfway through and spraying again.
5. Air fryers are maxed out with chicken, so you can also put chips in the oven and heat baked beans in the microwave or on the stove for a side dish.

S’mores dip with banana and chocolate swirls
service:6
material:
2 ready-made crepes or tortilla wraps
2 heaped tablespoons chocolate hazelnut spread (such as Nutella)
2 bananas powdered sugar
For s’mores dip:
300g milk chocolate (crushed)
Marshmallow large 200g
Method:
1. Spread each crepe or wrap with the chocolate hazelnut spread, place a peeled banana on top of it, and roll the crepe or wrap all the way to the end. Dust with powdered sugar and cut into bite-sized pieces. If desired, cook in the fryer at 200℃ for 7 minutes.
2. For the s’mores dip, place the chocolate in the bottom of a baking dish and sprinkle the marshmallows evenly on top, completely covering the chocolate. Fry at 160℃ for 5-6 minutes until melted.
3. Serve the banana swirls with the s’mores dip and go crazy! I like to dust the crepes with powdered sugar again just before dipping them.
