NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said India’s strength and visionary approach for centuries and millennia has made it the longest-lived civilization and a haven for humanity.
“It is India that thinks not for itself but for everyone and believes in everyone. It is India that speaks not only of tradition but also of policy. The universe in the body, Brahma in the world, It is India that speaks of Shiva among living beings,” PM Modi said at the inauguration of the 2550th Bhagwan Mahavir Nirvan Mahotsav at the Bharat Mandapam.
The Prime Minister said that humanity is looking forward to peace from India in this time of conflict and this increased visibility is due to India’s cultural image, growing capabilities and foreign policy. “Today, we advocate with full confidence the principles of truth and non-violence in the world arena. We remind the world that the solutions to global problems lie in the culture and traditions of ancient India. “This is why India is establishing itself as a ‘Vishwa Bandhu’ in a divided world,” he said.
PM Modi also stressed that India has proven that once self-respect awakens, a nation becomes unstoppable. “For India, modernity is the body and spirituality is the soul. When spirituality is removed from modernity, anarchy is born,” he added.
“We never attack other countries in order to get them on our side. We have overcome our shortcomings by improving ourselves. That is why difficult times come, and in every age A wise man has appeared to guide us. The great civilization has ended, but India has found its own path,” the Prime Minister said.
Paying homage to Acharya Vidyasagarji Maharaj, he recalled meeting him recently and said, “His blessings are still guiding us.” PM Modi referred to the early stages of Amrit Kaal when the nation was working towards a golden century of independence. He also touched on the 75th anniversary of the Constitution and the celebration of democracy that will determine the future direction of the country.
“Amrit Kaal is not just a solution, but a spiritual inspiration that enables us to live immortality and eternity.” Prime Minister Modi also launched commemorative stamps and coins on the occasion.
