Event held at Barrie High School as part of the Board’s Experiential Learning and Entrepreneurship Initiative

St. Joseph Catholic High School students are putting the finishing touches on an upcoming health and wellness symposium. As part of the Board’s Experiential Learning and Entrepreneurship Initiative, students have been working to prepare for this inaugural event.
Guests will explore a variety of health and wellness programs, initiatives and activities that support young people in Barrie and the surrounding area. The students will also be selling various health products. The evening ends with a complementary sound bath and meditation experience.
The event is free, but cash donations and donations are welcome. A portion of the proceeds from this evening’s event will go toward funding health and wellness activities at the school. Students also support scholarships for post-secondary students entering the health and wellness field.
Event organizers include a supportive community including Uplift Black, BANAC, Mamaway, CFS Counseling + Well-Being, New Path, Canadian Mental Health Association, The North Simcoe Muskoka Community Care Services, Bliss 2 Embodied Therapy & Yoga, and Modo Yoga Thank you to our partners. , Enertig, St. Mary’s Youth Ministry, Georgian College, Yminds of YMCA, Gilbert Center, Métis Nation (Barrie Branch), Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Staff, Youth – Heaven and Shax World.
