New Delhi: Patanjali founders yoga guru Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna on Tuesday approached the Supreme Court in a defamation suit against Patanjali Ayurveda. The court initially praised Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna’s contributions to yoga, but later changed its stance and accused them of downplaying other treatments in order to shine a positive light on Ayurveda. did.
Mr Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna informed the court that they were ready to issue a public apology. However, the court had not decided whether to grant amnesty, noting that he had violated the instructions three times. The court postponed the hearing of the case until April 23.
After coming out of court, Baba Ramdev said he had complete faith in the laws of the country. Earlier, the Indian Medical Association filed a complaint against Patanjali, accusing him of ridiculing medical fields such as allopathy and exaggerating treatments related to Ayurveda.
