One woman died after drinking a drink that appeared to contain mushrooms at a health resort, and two others were taken to the hospital.

The incident occurred last weekend in the town of Clunes in Victoria, Australia.

The 53-year-old woman, from Ringwood North in Melbourne, attended an alternative health center called Soul Burn.

After he became seriously ill, he stopped breathing due to cardiac arrest, and emergency services were called, and he died shortly after midnight.

Two other participants of the health retreat were taken to the hospital for observation.

Investigators theorize that a mushroom-based drink may have caused the woman’s death, but there is no suggestion that the poisoning was intentional, but other toxic substances were involved. I haven’t ruled out the possibility yet.

Soul Barn describes itself on its Facebook page as an “alternative and holistic health care service.”

They explain that skin experts will be at the center on Saturday, April 13, and that “[experts]will be weaving together ancient skin care rituals and combining them with modern techniques to improve nutrition. Create a facial that is both giving and active.”

“Infused with herbal oils sourced from local farms and wild foraged plants, we also use handcrafted skin care from around the world that is specifically selected for its potency and purity…This is like no other. It’s a facial you’ll never see and never forget!”

However, following these events, the store announced it would be closed on Sunday, April 14th, and refunds will be provided to those who attended the “Sound Healing” class sessions.

A Victoria Police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that detectives from the Moorabool Criminal Investigation Unit were investigating the incident and were investigating the death.

“It is believed that the woman was at the Fraser Street retreat when she became unwell after consuming a drink around 12pm,” she said in a statement.

“The investigation is continuing and police will prepare a report for the coroner.”

Shortly after Saturday’s horrifying incident, a police spokesperson said: “The woman was at a rest center in Fraser Street shortly after midnight and it is believed she became unwell after consuming drink.”

“A 53-year-old woman from Ringwood North died at the scene.

“The other two were taken to the hospital for observation.”

LADbible has reached out to Soul Barn for comment.

Soul Barn owner Michelle Mullins described her dream business in an Instagram post earlier this year: “My dream for Soul Barn is to be a space where people can connect on many levels. is.

“We host inspiring workshops and retreats that encourage you to connect with your own passions, explore new skills, and truly express yourself.

“We bring together like-minded people and create a community in the small town of Clunes.”

Mullins outlined her goals for the center, which include holding retreats, workshops and facilitator training.

She also described herself as a “creative entrepreneur and change-maker with a big vision and a rebellious personality.”
