For Milan Design Week, designer and visual artist Andres Reisinger creates a theatrical narrative in the atrium of Nilufar Depot. Presented in the form of a large-scale experiential exhibition, 12 meditation chairs Visitors are invited into this space to participate in a reflective meditation session that forms a temporary escape from the constraints of time.
At the heart of the exhibition, co-curated with Nilufar founder Nina Yashar, is a collection of chairs scattered around a large, impressive mosaic piece. Measuring 6 meters in both height and width, this site-specific mosaic features her 12 apples suspended in the air in a photo-realistic style, depicting a fantastic and surreal skyscape. Masu.
The chairs all come in an all-white look, each serving as a physical homage to a different design era. In line with Resinger’s multisensory approach, custom musical compositions composed by the artist and designer himself can be heard throughout the installation, enhancing the meditative experience.
