Six Senses has made its Caribbean debut with a brand new resort and spa in Grenada.

The resort features 56 pool suites and 15 villas, prioritizing design with guest health and the environment in mind.

The signature Six Senses Spa is inspired by the local fishing village, blending the local community’s knowledge, age-old traditions, and indigenous plants and herbs with the aromatic spices of the local community. I am.

Six Senses has announced the grand opening of its first property and spa in the Caribbean, Six Senses La Sagesse.

Set on a beautiful beachfront and surrounded by lush hills, Six Senses La Sagesse offers visitors a tranquil getaway with 56 pool suites and 15 villas. The resort focuses on guest well-being through a design that prioritizes natural light, spaciousness, and the use of eco-friendly materials.

At the heart of the resort’s offerings, the spa is designed to take advantage of the local community’s knowledge, age-old traditions, indigenous plants and herbs, as well as the location’s abundance of fragrant spices, which have medicinal and healing properties. It has been.

Six Senses has leveraged these to create wellness programs that focus on sleep, exercise, yoga, and longevity. The spa also offers high-tech and high-touch therapies guided by in-house experts and visiting practitioners.

Overlooking the lagoon, the spa’s design is inspired by traditional Caribbean fishing villages. Facilities include a biohacking recovery lounge, pool, indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, outdoor communal wet area with panoramic sauna, heated pool, plunge pool and Kneipp therapy pool.

In addition, the spa features a 24/7 gym, longevity center, steam room, and separate changing rooms for men and women with showers, lockers, and a courtyard dedicated to relaxation.

Meanwhile, at the Alchemy Bar, located at all Six Senses resorts, guests can create potions and remedies using spices and herbs native to Grenada.

Additional equipment
In addition to wellness, guests can also enjoy culinary experiences with Caribbean flavors at the resort’s three restaurants, two bars, and a bakery.

The resort’s offerings are completed with an Experience Center that offers unique experiences that connect guests with the traditions of Grenada’s Spice Island and learn about its culture and way of life. This includes farm-to-table cuisine, Caribbean-style high tea, waterfall fun, rainforest hikes, and dramatic coastline visits.

Resort GM Thomas Fehrbier said: “Grenada is divided into six parishes, and La Sagesse, in the southeastern parish of St. David, has undergone remarkable changes in recent years.

“Full of vibrant energy, we are excited to open our doors and welcome our first guests to discover this unique place.

“Many of our hosts were born and raised minutes from the resort and nearby communities and are proud, all-embracing people. We are very grateful to be able to allow the world to experience a side of Grenada that is still unknown to us.”

In addition to relaxation and dining, Six Senses La Sagesse also offers opportunities to explore Grenada’s cultural and natural heritage. The Experience Center offers farm-to-table cuisine, Caribbean-style high tea, and activities such as waterfall play, rainforest hikes, and coastal exploration.

Developed by Range Developments, the resort’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its design, which incorporates native plants and protects natural ecosystems, including a lagoon teeming with wildlife. Six Senses La Sagesse aims to provide guests with an authentic Grenada experience while promoting environmental stewardship.

As part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, Six Senses continues to expand its portfolio and currently operates 25 hotels and resorts with further growth planned.
