Nutritionist says taking three tablets a day can prevent dementia and help memory

Three tablets a day can have a huge impact on your health, preventing dementia and boosting memory. The Times reported that as people grow older, their ability to absorb nutrients from food decreases.

Taking a daily multivitamin can help address that problem as well as other health benefits. A double pack of 300 multivitamins is available on Amazon for 9.87 yen. That means it costs just 3p a day, which is very cheap.

“Older people tend to need relatively more B12, calcium and vitamin D than younger people,” said Duane Mellor, a nutritionist and senior teaching fellow at Aston Medical School in Birmingham, in the journal Nutrient. In a study published in , taking a multivitamin helped support immune function in people over 55. You can also save your memories.

In another study of approximately 3,500 healthy adults aged 60 and older, participants who took a multivitamin for three years performed significantly better on complex cognitive tasks compared to those who received a placebo. It was shown that memory function was significantly improved.

Diet and health guru Dr Michael Mosley has previously recommended a 2p daily pill that can reduce your chances of developing dementia and significantly strengthen your body and immune system. . Dr Mosley, famous for his versions of the Fast 800 and 5:2 diets and meal plans, spoke on the BBC podcast Just One Thing and talked about how taking a daily vitamin D supplement strengthens your immune system and boosts brain immunity at the same time. I discovered that you can. Also helps prevent depression and dementia. he said: “I don’t usually recommend supplements, but I’ll make an exception for this one. It’s vitamin D. And it’s very cheap to buy. Online you can get 400 tablets for less than £8. , less than 2 pence per day.

“It’s essential for healthy bones and a properly functioning immune system. And unfortunately, at this time of year in the UK, many of us are deficient in vitamin D, and it’s simply because our skin produces vitamin D. There isn’t enough light for it.”

The NHS also recommends vitamin D supplements, as the number of people diagnosed with dementia soars to half a million a month. The NHS is urging people to take a daily vitamin D supplement after a recent study found that it dramatically reduces the risk of dementia. A study conducted in France found that people with vitamin D levels below 50 nmol/L were almost three times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease. Remarkably, over 60 per cent of the UK is below these levels.
