Megan Thee Stallion’s diet, fitness, and mental health routine

It’s safe to say that Megan Thee Stallion, one of rap’s hottest stars, has been through a lot over the past few years.

In 2020, Megan Thee Stallion was shot by rapper Tory Lanez and became the subject of suspicion and ridicule, with many blaming her for what happened or denying the incident altogether. There was a highly publicized trial and Tory Lanez was found guilty in 2022.

“I’ve seen people build me up, tear me down, and be confused by their expectations of me,” Megan (real name Megan Peet) said in a recent conversation with Women’s Health.

This led the rap star to a dark place of depression and suicidal thoughts, which she opened up about late last year in her song “Cobra.” But now she’s shedding her past and stepping into a bright future that prioritizes her mental and physical health above everything else.

“I started working out because I needed to focus my energy elsewhere to work on myself,” she told Women’s Health. “I was working out to escape and be happy.”

And people are taking notice of her dedication to staying healthy, including with brands like Nike and Planet Fitness who have recently partnered with her. Now everyone wants to know how Megan maintains that amazing body of hers and keeps her feet on the ground.

According to Women’s Health magazine, Megan Thee Stallion’s non-negotiables these days are first thing in the morning to “write in my journal, meditate, pray, do a moisturizing mask, play with my dog, and listen to music.” It’s about making sure you have time.

She loves to follow up her self-care time with energizing workouts.

“It’s hard to get out of bed and exercise in the morning,” she says. “You have to be mentally prepared to be like, ‘I can stay here for another hour, or I can wake up and go to training and be a no-good guy.’ If you want to be and you’re not,” Pony, you’ve got to get up and do the work. ”

Megan goes to Pilates, the gym, and the beach with her trainer four to five days a week.

According to Women’s Health, her workout routine includes:

  • aerobic exercise: 40 minutes on the Stairmaster or elliptical
  • Lower body: Goblet squats, leg extensions, hip thrusts, donkey kicks (she calls them “stallion kicks”)
  • Upper body: Renegade draw, lat pulldown, lat fly
  • Abs: weighted sit-ups

Megan also changed her diet to improve her fitness. She drank a gallon of water a day and replaced cognac with tequila to reduce her sugar intake. She also ate less red meat, bread and tuna melts, and cut back on juices and soda.

Currently, Megan’s diet typically includes:

  • breakfast: Protein powder smoothie with strawberry, banana, almond milk or green juice
  • lunch: pan-fried salmon
  • dinner: A combination of fish such as cod and sea bass, sweet potatoes, kale, tomatoes, and brown rice.

“I want to be as good as I feel because I’m in a good space mentally,” she told the publication.
